F.A.Q

Delay & Project Timeline

The timeframe varies depending on your project’s complexity and my current workload. Most projects typically take one month and a half (including communication time), while larger projects may take up to three months. I won’t exceed three months for any project, except for large orders involving multiple illustrations.

It would be great if you could plan your order at least two month before the project’s start date. This helps me organize my schedule and ensures we have plenty of time to discuss the art brief and finalize the quote before I begin. Of course, if there’s an urgent deadline, I’ll do my best to accommodate depending on my availability—but the more time we have, the smoother the process will be!

The signed quote will act as contract to ensure clarity and protection for both parties (the quote must be signed before starting the project).
The contract covers project scope, usage rights, and delivery schedule.

Payment:

  • 50% upfront, 50% upon completion.

  • 100% before delivery if requested (only for customary clients)

  • 100% upfront for rush commissions.

  • Accepted methods: Bank Transfer, PayPal (+7.3% fee).

All payments in Euro (€). Transaction fees are paid by the client.

✦ Once you’ve submitted the Commission Form (via the “Order Your Project” button), I’ll reach out to you by email. From there, I’ll ask for mood boards and reference images to get a clear picture of your vision. After reviewing everything, I’ll send over a personalized quote. Once we’re on the same page and the invoice is settled, we’ll officially kick off your project! Here’s how the process unfolds:

✦ Step 1: Rough Draft

I’ll present 1-3 rough compositions to explore the layout, character poses, and title placement. This is the stage for initial feedback and adjustments.

✦ Step 2: Detailed Sketch

Once we’ve selected a composition, I’ll refine the sketch, adding values and focusing on character and environnement design. It’s the moment to make major changes if needed.

✦ Step 3: Lineart

Depending on your chosen style, I may skip this step. At this point, only minor adjustments can be made, as the basic structure is set and I enter into the final illustration.

✦ Step 4: Base Colors

This is the stage where colors are added. You can still adjust and tweak the color palette, but no lights, shadows, or textures are included yet.

✦ Step 5: Rendering

I’ll add lights, shadows, and textures to bring the piece to life. At this stage, making large changes can be complicated. If the changes require significant work, we’ll discuss additional fees.

✦ Step 6: Final Details

Once the rendering is approved, I’ll finalize the details to polish and complete the artwork.

✦ Step 7: Delivery File

Before we start, be sure to let me know if you need specific file types (e.g., transparent backgrounds for characters). Once everything is finalized, I’ll send you the final file(s) and an explanation guide

✦ My goal is to bring your vision to life, so feel free to ask for adjustments or clarifications during the process! We’re working together to create something that you truly like.  I primarily communicate through email, though calls can be arranged upon request. I ensure clear communication via email so you’ll always be updated on the project’s progress and what I’m currently working on.

I’ll ask for these details through the commission form and follow up via email. Feel free to share the information in a Google Doc, PDF, or simply write it directly in our email exchange—whatever works best for you!
